Mission

Afiyah (n)

Arabic

Means health and to be free from illness and grief.

ACC entered the game in 2015 with the aim of starting a positive narrative around mental health within the Global community. We intend to provide excellent counseling and coaching services by blending modern psychology and spirituality.

Our goal is to realize Afiyah by creating awareness about mental health and normalizing its discourse within the community. We also want to help humanity become productive in their material and spiritual lives by working with them on maintaining a work-life balance and quality personal relationships.

Our Co-Founders

Sayema Zulfeqar

CEO, Co- Founder

I’m Sayema Zulfeqar, a Psychologist and a mental well-being advocate.

I enjoy multi-tasking, public speak and love working with Muslim women and help them heal holistically. I’m a strong advocate of promoting mental hygiene and wellbeing as I firmly believe in the mantra- “Prevention is always better than cure.”

During my University student years, I felt stuck and kept looking around for online counselling services from an Islamic perspective to help me address my issues. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find any such services, which led me to start my own initiative- Afiyah Counsel and Care, in 2015, where we provide affordable therapy and coaching services to all. Our mission is to make therapy affordable and accessible to all.

Since 2015, I’ve had the privilege to work with and support thousands of Muslim women from across the globe, helping them gain confidence, learning essential life skills, taking care of their mental health, coming out of domestic abuse and achieving their personal/professional goals.⠀

Currently I’m also working with students (mostly teens) in coaching them to a better future fusing the lights of Islam and the best from the modern world.
ACC is my dream come true, which was born when my inspiration, Dr. Soha Rajeev decided to glue together two pestering energy bombs into a team, thereby introducing me to Sayema Zulfeqar (CEO & Co-founder of ACC) and later joined by Shaher Ban (COO & Co-founder of ACC).
My dream is to be the that single ray of hope to those struggling engulfed in darkness and to expand our services to support everyone going through mental health issues at the comfort of their homes.
